As an independent writer and lyricist, my career began in 2013 with the writing of my first musical. I have a great interest in writing musicals, songs, and plays with music, often of a political nature. As a lyricist, I have written over fifty songs.
In January 2017, my first musical ‘Running Mate’ was staged at the Actor’s Church in Covent Garden. ‘The Hackers Opera’ was presented in the Brighton festival of the same year, which sold out. I’ve since written a book about the Peter Green impersonation case called Blues Men I Have Buried (now an audiobook), and staged a further two musicals in London and Brighton, both of which sold out.
After traveling the world through serving in the Royal Signals during the seventies, I moved to South East Asia to run a cabaret theatre before returning to the UK and settling in Brighton. I was an active man, a horticulturalist by trade, but that all changed in 2013 when I suffered a stroke.
This forced me to adjust to a more sedentary lifestyle and, after an adjustment period, I decided to pursue this other great interest of mine – writing and musical theatre.
